On this site you will find information on Accommodation in Rome Italy where you can search and contact property owners and managers directly and make your arrangements for your accommodation.
Rome, capital of Italy and Latium, the city lies 20 m. above sea level on the banks of the Tiber, in the Campagna di Roma. This is the most highly populated and largest city in Italy, an historical and cultural centre of extraordinary importance, the capital of the Roman Catholic Church.
The main tourist season starts at Easter and runs until October; peak periods are in spring and autumn, when the tour buses pour in and tourists are herded around like cattle. Numerous outdoor festivals and concerts and the fact that Romans desert the city for the beaches and mountains, which means very light traffic and a less-crowded city centre, makes summer almost worth the heat. If you do visit in summer, try to hit the sights early, take a long lunch and a nap, and then head out again around 18:00 to take advantage of the cooler evening. Winters are usually mild with few tourists and some fun events around Christmas time.

Campo de' Fiori in Rome Italy
Campo de' Fiori is one of the trendiest parts of Rome, lively day and night. On weekdays at the crack of dawn, the "Field of Flowers" bursts into life as market workers prepare their stalls ready for Rome's finest market ( Mon to Fri 0600-1300). Come rain or shine, under giant multi-coloured ombrellone (umbrellas) are dazzling displays of fruit, flowers, fish, salami, sun-dried tomatoes, olives, artichokes, pesto, peppers, roughly cut hunks of parmesan and all the tastes, fragrances and colours of Italian cuisine - a veritable feast for the senses.
By night, cafes, bars and restaurants fill the piazza, making it one of Rome's most animated nightspots.
However, the atmosphere in the square has not always been so bustling and cheerful. Campo de' Fiori was used as an execution ground by the Popes until well into modern times. Today is of Giordano Bruno, a famous Renaissance monk and philosopher who was burned at the stake here in 1600 by the Counter-Reformation papacy for his belie ... Read More...
